Aviary / GreenHouse Established 11/02/2010

1000 Sq. Ft. Aviary / Green House

Work initially started in 2009, replacing a large shed used for quarantine and cage storage.

On-going phases of construction worked around rain storms, snow storms, -14' lows and 98' heat. The aviary has gone from an idea on paper to a reality. Work crews, volunteers, neighbors and friends showed up faithfully to help. Thank you to the donors that shared our vision.

The finished base of operations for Safe Haven includes a four-season heated aviary, infirmary, quarantine, food prep and exercise area. Floor to ceiling windows provide natural sunlight and fresh air in the summer, triple insulation keeps temps at a constant 60' in the winter. The 2nd floor provides a much needed storage area.
